Site Survey
Oldfields engineering staff can carry out roading, site and subdivision services as part of contract works. These include road and driveway layout, cut and fill volume estimates, and services reticulation. 
Site surveys are carried out where appropriate as part of our quotes service. These surveys gather both the topographical and level data required to enable us to quote for individual projects.
Our pre-site work preparation includes location of current services pipework and cabling, ensuring that we minimise the risk to services disruption during excavation.
Materials Testing
To comply with the specification for concrete and aggregate for the Concrete Standards Association of New Zealand, Oldfield Ready Mix have a rigorous in house testing programme. The benefit of testing in house means we can keep a close contact with fineness modulus in sand and in concrete strength. 
The testing programme involves:
- concrete and sand tested once a day.
- 10mm and 19mm pebbles once a week
- cement scales once a month
- aggregate scales every three months
- water meter once a year
Slump is regularly tested for air content and concrete is
tested for shrinkage.
Plan Printing and Copying 
To meet Oldfields own demanding requirements for reproduction of clear, precise plans and drawings a large format digital plan scanner and printer is used.
With this large format capable technology, we can offer copy and print services for media sizes up to A0 (841mm x 1189mm). The digital imaging technology of our OCE 9400 copier and printer means we can reproduce and print accurate high resolution black and white copies of plans, line drawings, schematics and diagrams.
The large format scanner also allows us to capture electronically, your plans and drawings.
In electronic format, plans can be written to compact disk for storage for later reprinting, emailing between distant clients and partners, or manipulated for enlargement, reduction, or rotation.
